Hi guys, I'm Hoorimi. 안녕! 나는 후리미야.

Do you want to learn Korean. But it's difficult by yourself?

Let's start a Korean language journey with me!

안녕하세요

Have you heard that Korean say "안녕하세요" ?

It means "hello"or "hi"

You can read it as

[An-neyong-ha-se-yo]

(If you want to listen the audio here, click "listen in browser")

Did you speak loudly?

That's great! You already did it!

안녕히가세요

And then, how can you say "bye" in Korean?

We say "안녕히가세요"

[an-neyong-hi-ga-se-yo]

**You should speak loudly with your mouth!! +_+

Okay, great!!!!

안녕히계세요

Or you can say "안녕히계세요."

[an-neyong-hi-gyeo-se-yo]

Then what is the difference between "안녕히가세요' and "안녕히계세요."?

If you are leaving from some place, you can say "안녕히계세요"

Because "계시다" is a formal expression of "있다." (to stay)

So, you leave, but your friend might still be staying there.

Now, can you guess? What's the meaning of "안녕히가세요"?

That's right!

It is used to say bye when your friend goes. They are leaving from you.

Because "가세요" means "가다"(to go)

Let's repeat it again!

안녕히계세요

[an-nyeong-hi-gyeo-se-yo]

안녕히가세요

[an-neyong-hi-ga-se-yo]

감사합니다

Next is "Thank you"

We can say "감사합니다"

[gam-sa-ham-ni-da]

Originally, the pronunciation of "ㅂ" is [b]

but when we say it faster, it sounds like a [m]

So you don't need to pronounce [b] hard.

Speak it loudly.

Until now, you learned about basic greetings in Korean.

It is a good start!

Thanks for reading.

읽어주셔서 감사합니다!

See you next time!

다음에 만나요.
